Program Summary

CHARIOT (Controllable Hacking & Attacking Remote Internet Of Things) was a research and development program assigned to the Air Intelligence Agency, San Antonio TX, initiated FY1995. Program objective: development of a distributed firmware-level disruption and defensive architecture for deployment against adversary networked systems.

Primary technical personnel: T/Sgt. N. Thorne (firmware architecture, microcode), M/Sgt. M. Sanders (defensive architecture, shield layer). Program produced proof-of-concept results within first program year.

Termination Basis

Budget Review Recommendation AIA-BRR-96-0031, dated 1996.02.28. No technical deficiency identified.

Disposition of Program Materials

All classified program documentation transferred to AIA records hold. Development hardware — OT test lab devices including HVAC controllers, thermostat arrays, and electromechanical door systems — inventoried and scheduled for disposal per AFMAN 23-110.
